W H Leary entered the European gluing and quality assurance market in 2000 with the aquisition of Pafra Gluing Systems from Pafra Adhesives, the Basildon based adhesives manufacturer. The Pafra company was established over four decades ago and remains one of the worlds most recognisable brands in the converting industry. Today Pafra Adhesives remains as a market leading adhesives supplier, whilst W H Leary continues to develop world leading gluing systems technology.

For more than 75 years, W. H. Leary has made a dedicated commitment to provide superior Quality Assurance, Glue Application and Data Collection solutions for the packaging industry. Our expertise in systems integration comes from a comprehensive understanding of sensors, controls, software and high-speed multi tasking systems.

As an engineering company, we are continually developing new solutions. Our product portfolio features the broadest and most expandable range of in-line monitoring, extrusion and data collection systems available for a variety of sectors within the packaging and paper industries.

With the acquisition of Pafra Systems Ltd and the formation of additional strategic alliances and global partners, we have become the premier provider of these solutions for a worldwide market. W. H. Leary Co. has formed a new partnership alliance with UES AG to service both Hot and Cold Glue application for packaging industry. UES AG is a market leader of high quality hot melt glue application systems, designed to be compatible with customers’ existing equipment. W. H. Leary Co. has lead the cold glue application industry with their patented On-Target™ glue line correction software and compatibility with Leary’s existing range of application and control systems. Leary offers a fully integrated solution. UES has been manufacturing hot melt equipment in Germany for over 10 years, during which time they have grown into one of the major providers of hot melt adhesion technology in a range of different markets. Leary and UES’s alliance greatly benefits customers worldwide by offering a single source for all your gluing needs.

W. H. Leary Co. has partnered with Red Rock Technologies Inc. to deliver seamless label application and detection. Red Rock Technologies Inc, has been manufacturing ultra high speed label application systems for many years. These systems are capable of applying a wide range of on-pack promotional labels, RFID and security tags, as well as many other types of labels at line speeds of up to 100,000 products per hour.
